I said before the season, and I'll say it again today. We lost 2 senior LBs(one to the NFL), and our LB corps is better than it was in '06.

And I know this thread is about McKenzie, but I really believe that the story of the year so far has been the play of Mompremier. Talk about coming out of nowhere...

Dude, our entire defense is better than 06.  Which is amazing in itself.

I'd put this defense up against any offense in the country.

The big difference between our Defense this year and last year is we are creating turnovers left and right!

  I also gotta say Mccarney is doing wonders for our D-line too

I don't consider Mompremier as coming out of nowhere.  I remember Leavitt calling him one of our four "starting" linebackers last year even though he didn't play as much. 

I think the amazing thing is that Mompremier barely held off Spires and McKenzie needed a Robinson injury to secure his spot.  And I saw our backup safety Gachette hammer the ball carrier more than once.  We are STACKED on defense.
