Sorry, but we do not deserve to be that high. Anyone who watched the game knows that.

I disagree... who below us should be higher than us?

Anyone who watched that game knows that we have one of the absolute best defense's in the country, bar none.  Yes, our offense wasn't as dominant... but an average offense with a dominant defense can be extremely tough to contend with.

Out of anyone behind us... only OU and UF would have a real case... so 2 spot difference is nothing... and we shoudl be ahead of Wisconsin too.

Anyone who watched that game knows that we have one of the absolute best defense's in the country, bar none.  Yes, our offense wasn't as dominant... [glow=yellow,2,300]but an average offense with a dominant defense can be extremely tough to contend with[/glow].

Out of anyone behind us... only OU and UF would have a real case... so 2 spot difference is nothing... and we shoudl be ahead of Wisconsin too.

A lot of those yards were in the 4th quarter when USF was basically playing a modified prevent defense...

they did get plenty of yards against us but no one is looking at that that votes-- they see the bottom line--- the score.

I don't care how we won that game-- winning is everything. THe D did the job they needed to-- they may have gotten yardage between the twenties-- but after that-- they were stumped

A lot of those yards were in the 4th quarter when USF was basically playing a modified prevent defense...

They were averaging over 500 yards a game and didn't put up the points.  Our D forced 6 turnovers.  Come on.

"forcing" turnovers is a bit of a myth. The arbiter of a defense's ability is how many yards it gives up. Turnovers are essentially gifts.

Well, I don't know if it's purely how many yards it gives up... I would say points allowed is important... so are turnovers... so are tackles for loss...
