People in the south endzone were being tackled probably because they weren't "students" i.e. they aren't in the student section.

The cops and the TSA employees on the sidelines just let the students run right past them and that was the right thing to do.

What I saw coming from the student section that disturbed me was the guy running around with the seat that was broken off, that was just wrong.

A cop stopped him at the top lol he was trying to explain why he had it.

For me, a very law abiding guy, it was almost sickening to see the poor folks entereing from the south being taken down, cuffed, and more, by TPD.  When they saw all the people being allowed to go over the walls they started jumping into a pool of sharks.  Nothing like seeing all other law enforcement letting people go by then moments later be eating dirt with a cop's knee in your back and cuffs on.  I swear, it was almost "entrapment" in a way.

I hope that TPD has a very good PR person because everyone in our area was livid at their behavior and just plain disgusted by the TPD whose motto is, ironically, "To Serve and Protect."  Right.

The biggest risk of injury was not the jump or anything, it was the chance of injury during the rough takedown.  I feel so sorry for those who got nailed.  I hope they did not get charged and taken to jail.

Note: I'm very much a police supporter but this was just wrong.

They planned for the rush.  They were to only arrest the drunk and crazy, or ones who did not comply with requests to go to the middle or exit correctly.

Monty is right on. That was a debacle in the South End Zone! TPD was out of hand. It wasn't all of them though, just a few cavaliers. I saw 5 people jump the wal at once, the 1st 4 ran right between TPD and nothing, the last poor guy ran past the cop that was having a bad day apparently. He ran him down and opened up a can on him. Would be nice if the cops were at least all on the same page.
