Is it me or did it seem like Lou's pep talk was geared more toweards National geographic photographers than the USF football squad?  Living and dying trees???  Flying bumble bees???  Dude, Lou, I have all the respect in the world for you, and I already know you expect WVU to beat us - because of Pat White.  But, why did you even bother to do the pep talk without any research???  Had you spoken to Coach Leavitt, you would know that our goal is to wi the Big East.  And, beating WVU is a major step in that direction.  Etc.  Etc.

Can we please stop making fun of Lou for his lisp?  He can't control it, he can't help that he has one, get off of it already, either listen to him or not, but i'm getting ******* sick and tired of reading these comments about his speech.  Enough is Enough, lay off the man for his lisp.

I've got nothing but respect for Lou - as I said in my post.  I just feel he could have done a better job - especially when I compare it to the pep talks he did for Michigan and Penn State.  To me, it seemed that his heart was not in it - especially when I compare it to the pep talks he did for Michigan and Penn State.  I thought the references to the living/dying trees and the flight of the bumble bee were, at best, lame.  All year, Coach Leavitt has been preaching that we just want to win the Big East.  I feel that Lou's pep talk would have had more teeth and/or more feel to it if he would have gone in that direction and adding that a win versus WVU would go a long way in achieving that goal.  And, topping it off with a "FINISH STRONG!!!" would have been ideal.  I just got the feeling that he did this because he had no choice but to do this.  And, I strongly feel that our school and our football team deserve better than some heartless, thrown together speech - which is an extension the national media and pollsters, by and large, have given us all year.  The end result to this lack of respect given to our team is more focus, more drive for excellence, and ultimately more wins.

Again, I have nothing but the utmost respect for Lou.
