BULLS COUNTRY: While the Bulls Surge, we need to come together on this

About four years ago USF decided as a University policy to use the phrase Bulls Country to denote the collective fan and neighbor base supporting the Bulls.  Other schools had been using the terms "(Fill in the blank) Nation".  UF, for example, has been using "Gator Nation" for more than ten years.  We do not want to follow traditions, we want to build them and we certainly do not want to be wannabes and mimic the Gators. 

The phrase Bulls Country has local and national, as well as international, scope.  Thousands of posters, banners, shirts, bumper stickers, and other printed materials have been produced to help promote this identification and rally Bulls everywhere.  The Bulls Country campaign is funded and operated out of the office of University Relations on the Tampa campus.  I believe we, as Bulls fans should help spread the branding of Bulls Country as opposed to Bulls Nation or USF Nation.  Let's unify at this incredible time in Bulls history and declare ourselves solid citizens and advocates of BULLS COUNTRY.

Now we've had polls and discussions on this...some have thought one thing sounds better than another - but it is this USF marketing effort we should support and not confuse or diffuse the effort of unification and branding. 

Just thought I'd toss this out there as we approach the biggest night in the history of USF Athletics!
