I like the black U, though I think our helmets are more yellow than gold.

A really nice Vegas gold and a Green or black U could look really really good...

I'm sure Shoop has something lying around in the archives. His brother and some other miscreants found on the interweb have put together some interesting design concepts over the past couple of years.

  When we were first looking at helmets we had 3 or 4 helmets made up one was white with the USF spelled out on the side very similar to the new UCF helmet.  One was all green with USF on the side.  The other ones were all gold with the goat on the side.  Jim would walk around with the helmets and ask anyone who was in ear shot what they liked. Slowly the helmets got down to our current Gold helmet. 

  Hopefully that solves the question of the helmets. 

PS: Jim really might be color blind.

Maybe you can help us understand why we went to black decals & facemasks when the green looked great and actually were consistent with the rest of the uniforms??

And I hope it's not "because they show up better on TV," because...

a) There's just no truth to that

Man the iconic U logo is the ultimate and makes it unique.

The white looks too boring to me.  I love the gold helmet!  Now on green vs. black...  Is the logo actually black?  I thought it was a really dark green.
