Jill_Underwood(Q) what is your prediction on the UCF and USF game? 

Mike_Bianchi(A) I will make my prediction in the Orlando Sentinel. Buy several copies. 

 

marimari(Q) Nice orange shirt, what are you a Gator? 

Mike_Bianchi(A) Very funny. I wore FSU gold last week, I think. And let's not forget orange is also a Cane color. 

 

orlbull(Q) Have you attended any USF games and do you plan on being there Friday? 

Mike_Bianchi(A) Have never been to a USF game in Tampa and will not be there Friday night. I only go where they send me. I will be there in two weeks when UCF and USF play.   

Kenny(Q) How many years do you think it will tak (if at all) before USF & UCF compete for a National Title? I put USF at 5 years and have no real opinion on UCF. 

Mike_Bianchi(A) I think USF can compete for one this year if they run the table in their league and finish unbeaten. I don't think UCF will ever compete for a national title until they get into a BCS league. They can finish unbeaten in Conference USA and still not get a chance to play for the national title. 

 

orlbull(Q) Do you have a prediction for the USF WVU game? 

Mike_Bianchi(A) I like West Virginia, but not by much.

Mike_Bianchi(A) We probably will start covering them now that they're contenders. We'll cover the West Virginia game and if they keep winning we'll probably cover more.  [/glow]

Mike_Bianchi(A) I think they have so much speed on offense, even too much speed for USF. 

 

iLOVEmikeB(Q) Why does USF get no respect? 

Mike_Bianchi(A) USF is starting to get plenty of respect. The Bulls are nationally ranked and might be in the top 10 if they beat West Virginia. Isn't that respect? 

 

iLOVEmikeB(Q) Isnt USF the best team WVU has faced all year? And the bulls defense proved how disgusting they can be with all those picks and sacks? 

Mike_Bianchi(A) Yes, too bad Florida doesn't have USF's secondary. 

 

rumogator(Q) Great chat Mike! Are there enough recruits to keep all these Florida schools competitive? Especially with "the U" coming back? Can four or five schools remain contenders in FL or will the state become like California with two really good programs? 

Mike_Bianchi(A) Unlike Whit Watson, I don' t think there will be a Big 5 in Florida forevermore. I think there will always be a Big 3 or Big 4 with teams falling in and out of that classification.

i agree with the last thing he said. with all the talent in the state being spread out everywhere now, it'll be hard to consistently keep the "big 3, 4, 5, 6 or whatever" in the headlines.

I think we have enough talent in this state to support all the big programs and many others.

you can only take 25 players each year as recruits anyway--- Florida is producing 300+ 1-A level players every year consistently.

i'm pretty much the opposite...i root for all the florida schools pretty much, makes the rest of the state look better.

Guys, the Sentinel had a staff writer at the game Saturday. The Sun-Sentinel, its sister paper, had one as well. Bianchi isn't the only person who writes for the Sentinel.
