• The vast majority of the attention surrounding the South Florida Bulls on defense was on their outstanding senior cornerback tandem of Mike Jenkins and Trae Williams. Both have lived up to the hype, but don't forget about another emerging star on defense, third-year sophomore defensive end George Selvie. Not only the top difference-making defensive end in the Big East, Selvie (6-4, 250) also ranks right up there with the top-pass rushing ends in the entire nation. Against North Carolina, Selvie continued to wreak havoc from the outside, recording five tackles for loss, three of which were sacks.

Displaying a quick first step, excellent closing speed and a hustling approach, Selvie currently leads the nation with 14½ tackles for loss and 8½ sacks. Most teams would be thrilled to have a player amass those numbers for an entire season, and he's managed to do that in just three games.

Easy killer!  I think George Selvie is awesome, but he is no first rounder.  He has to put on a lot of size before he's ready to play in the NFL.  He will need the next two years to grow into his frame.
