On 1010 this AM: USF has the largest student section in the Big East: 12,501

On 1010 this morning, Bill McGillis said that the Athletic Department decided to expand the student section to 12,501 ... WVU has the second largest student section as 12,500...

He also said he expects ALL 12,501 to be sold out by the end of the day....

Some of the "better" lower level seats are being held for the "mini-ticket" packages they are selling for the last four games of the year.

He expects the game to be sold out by tomorrow.

He said the momentum is building... new sponsorship requests... more tickets sales for the later games... something that will probably not go away anytime soon.

It was great to hear on the way in.

Basis for coming statement:

USF has the largest student enrollment in the Big East Conf.

Statement:

Not having the largest student section in the Big East Conf. during football games is simply unacceptable.

Not only will we have the largest student section, but this weeks games will also be the largest home crowd for any Big  East game this year, or any year hereafter unless someone expands their stadium.  WVU has the next biggest stadium with 60,000.  I am thinking we would set the Big East attendance record if V-Tech, BC and UM's records are pulled from the record book since they are no longer members.
