whats the point of standing?  You can cheer and scream just as well sitting down.  If the intent was to stand the whole game, they wouldn't put in chairs.

It's like going to the beach and getting angry at those who go into the water. But those who go into the water should not get upset at those who do not.

I sat in a section for several years which was comfortable but not full of cheer. So I chose to move to a section full of life. But there are those in this new section that will have to decide if they want to go in the water with the rest of us or move to a section of the beach more in-tune to their needs or likes.

God Bless America for the wonderful choices we have.

I pick for going into the water...standing and cheering loud

Because our "NOISE!!!" does have an effect (helps)...proven this past game... Section 108 was loud and proud

Hehe, I like your attitude!

I think we are going to get there and Friday is going to be crazy whether people like it or not.  I'll probably lose my voice by the time the game is over.

Just an observation of mine.

When we had the bye week. I took a trip up to Gville (wearing neutral colors) to catch the UF vs. Tenn. Sure this is a rivalry game so that could possibly have had something to do with all the rowdy fans. The game day sights/sounds were second to none. Everyone stood the entire time (hot bleacher seats could play a part), making noise not just on 3rd down but 1,2 and 4th. Everyone was dead quiet on offense (which we do well). I think we all need to do our part to educate/inspire the casual fans to get rowdy/loud and for the love of god I believe it is your right to stand. Sure we have an impressive record at home since our inception but this place (with our attendance total growing) could be down right nasty to play in.

Excuse me but Rocky Style, on purpose stated that we are not speaking of STANDING the whole game. Don't go to the extremes. I believe what we are talking about is compromise.

I wish to stand, therefor I do.

Someone else wishes to sit, therefore they do.

But neither group should impose there will or wishes on others. unless there being jerks about it.  :chair

they clearly stated at the game that standing was reason enough to escort you out of the stadium... so, do so at your own risk.

Eco,  ??? that's the first I have ever heard about that. When or more importantly, where is this stated. I am going to dig up the stadium guide book to see if I can find it stated anywhere.

Our group (Section 125, 1at and 2nd row) were the ones who had a big issue during the Elon game where a number of our group was asked to leave the stadium and the reason they were given was "standing".

After the game a couple of people talked to a guy who does security detail at the stadium and another called our ticket rep on Monday and we were all told that if we were just standing we weren't doing anything wrong. They said that as long as you aren't standing on the chair or in the aisle way you are within your rights.

That being said, we all stood the whole game Saturday and had absolutely no problems at all, which was also the case all last season. If anyone tries to complain about standing on Friday night I'm going to be quite peeved to say the least.

Amen to being pissed if anyone comments about me standing brother. My buddies and I are going to be the rowdiest bunch of f***s (with no profanity) this side of the nut house.

I don't know what you would call it... it's one of those smaller score boards on the upper deck. They report other games scores during halftime. It stated it there. I only saw it once and it said a number of things that were grounds for removal or even arrest. Standing was listed. Don't know much else about it... but, it stated it.

I can see this being a reason for removal. In fact, someone should start another topic...which states...

When leaving or returning to one's seat, please have the courtesy to bow, kneel or just wait while a play is in motion.

Title is a bit long but I can't be any clearer.

What'a tink...actual football fans???

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
