Louisville has their work cut out for them. In addition to having to play the Bulls, WV, Rutgers, and Cincy, they also face UConn who is also undefeated and getting votes.

UConn won't betting any votes once they face a good team. The best team they have played so far is Pitt and they are going to struggle again this season. Temple should have had the W over UConn.

That is a sweet ranking!    If we play well and lose we may not fall out completely.. Of course if we win we may hit 11 0r 12!

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Louisville ran the table and won the conference. On the other hand, it also wouldn't surprise me if they go 3-5 the rest of the way and miss a bowl game. Sure Utah beat UCLA, but I still think you have to expect the Cardinals to win that one. Same for UConn and Pitt. The other five games for Louisville will be tough, though.

U of L will make a bowl game...

at NC State

vs Utah

at Cincy

at U Conn

vs Pitt

at WVU

at USF

vs Rutgers

They need to go 4-4 through those games... and I think they can get 4 maybe 5 wins with that schedule.  Good enough to send the Cardinals to the PapaJohns.com bowl...

I don't know Jim. If Syracuse can light up that defense, than surely NC State could as well. I see Louisville winning the three games I mentioned, and they *probably* win one or two of the other five - with that offense it would be hard not to - but it wouldn't shock me if they end up 5-7.

And he is from, of all places, Cincinnati.  You would think he would have a little respect for the Big East...

I sent the following e-mail to the guy in Boise, Idaho who didn't vote for us last week and voted 24 for us this week:

Mike,

You really need to get with the program! The South Florida Bulls football program, that is. Your questionable voting the last couple of weeks shows your lack of knowledge of the USF Bulls. Seeing that you're in Boise State Bronco Territory, it is sad to see you treat another young program with such disrespect.  Much like your local Broncos of last year, we need to be given every opportunity to play in a big bowl game this year.  However, we both know that our journey this season against numerous Big East powerhouses and other excellent teams will be a much more difficult one than the easy path Boise State had last year.  If your not doing anything friday night, tune your TV to ESPN and become a little more familiar with the USF Bulls, the Big East, and it's two most premier programs. And when it comes time to cast your ballot after we beat West Virginia, forget about your allegiances west of the Mississippi, and become a BULLIEVER!

Go Bulls!

1) You sound like a jerk in that letter.

2) When writing newspaper folk, you might want to take an extra minute to check your (or, if I'm you, "you're") punctuation and grammar.

3) Why single out this guy? He's not the only one to be new to voting for us this week.

agreed--- the last thing we need to do is start moaning to someone who has actully ranked us in the top twenty five in a poll. OH boo hoo-- not high enough for you? That is still POINTS that lead to us getting ranked higher. SO yeah- let's **** off those people.

Of anyone-- you should write to the clown at clearchannel who has yet to cast a single vote for our team.

OR BETTER YET--- let someone with some sense of how to write a letter-- like Blade-- campaign for our cause.

all your letter does is make us look like whiners-- not winners. What if we lose to WVU? All your note tells him is that we wmust win that game to earn his respect. That is way too much to ask and for what it is worth-- it doesn't help out in terms of our ranking.
