Agreed, good to see Cincy step into the top 25 with Louisville flopping like they have

Still got 4 Big East teams in the top 25, 2 in the top 10.  Louisville's loss to UK really hurts because we'd still be ahead of UL but would be in front of UK.  Cincy replaces them as a realistic Big East contender.

This is crazy.

Considering how Louisville has played on D and the turnovers on offense, it's hard to see them even becoming bowl eligible this year.  Every game they have left to play in the Big East looks tough and they could lose all of them.

Congrats to Cincinnati and well deserved.  You guys really got to upgrade your coach in the offseason.  Dantonio was great and did a good job laying the foundation, but I think Kelly is better and is going to continue to get the Bearcats national recognition.

Nice to see UConn picking up a few votes in the AP.

I think USF, WVU, Cincy, Rutgers, and UConn are all bowl teams this year.  Pittsburgh and Louisville may have shots at it.  We've got 5 out of 8 teams undefeated.  UConn, West Virginia, and Cincy are already close to being bowl eligible.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Louisville ran the table and won the conference. On the other hand, it also wouldn't surprise me if they go 3-5 the rest of the way and miss a bowl game. Sure Utah beat UCLA, but I still think you have to expect the Cardinals to win that one. Same for UConn and Pitt. The other five games for Louisville will be tough, though.

And I donn't see Cincy maintaining this level of success. Not this year. They'll lose to us, West Virginia and Rutgers, and I'd say the Louisville and Pitt games are tossups, maybe with a slight edge to Cincy. The Bearcats just haven't beaten anybody yet this year. And I know they beat us last year, so our guys shouldn't take them lightly, but I feel like we're so much better than last season. One things for sure, though, this program is very clearly moving in the right direction, and fast; 9-3 or 8-4 would be impressive.

U of L will make a bowl game...

at NC State

vs Utah

at Cincy

at U Conn

vs Pitt

at WVU

at USF

vs Rutgers

They need to go 4-4 through those games... and I think they can get 4 maybe 5 wins with that schedule.  Good enough to send the Cardinals to the PapaJohns.com bowl...

I wouldn't count UL out of anything just yet.  Not with that offense.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
