Am I the only one that's tired of seeing Benjamin Williams getting the bulk of the carries? Ford and Taylor are explosive and can make something out of nothing. They turn negative plays into no gains. Williams, on the other hand, just doesnt have the vision or ability to break tackles that the other backs do.

Go back and watch the opening drive, with an open mind, and come back and talk about Williams vision ..... We've got 3 **** good backs, plus Samuels didn't look bad either. I've got to assume the coaches know how to use them.

You could say the same about Steve Slaton, but he does a good job of making big plays. Although he is a lot faster than Williams.

Here are my Game Balls for the UNC game.

Entire Defensive Unit:  As a whole, they played a great game all day long.  The UNC QB completed less than half of his passes totalling only 85 yards.  The DL was constantly getting pressure and the secondary was always around the ball, not to mention the LBs who added two interceptions.

Delbert Alvarado:  Boy was this a welcome sign.  Not only did he go 3/3 on FGs, but he also had two punts that averaged out to 50 yards per attempt.  Great job Delbert.

Trae Williams:  The first few games Trae wasn't in control it seemed.  Against UNC he was at the top of his game.  Its hard to outshine Jenkins, and he pretty much did that.

George Selvie:  Another great game by the leader of the D Line.  His numbers were gaudy against Elon, but just as impressive against the Tarheels.

I'd like to include something about the Offense, but it really didn't have the same effect as the Defense this past Saturday.  Grothe was good at times and should have had more completions, but the two fumbles can't go overlooked.  He'll need to control the ball for USF to have a shot at beating WVU.  The ground game was pretty good, but not great.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
