Anyone catch the Morgan State vs #12 Hampton game last night on ESPNU.

Chad Simpson (who had the KR for a TD in the huge upset over Louisville a couple years ago) is doing incredible.

He had about 150 yards and 2 TD's in the OT loss to Hampton.  The announcers said he is the heart and sole of the team and talked about him transferring from USF.

Much easier to stomach, and root for him now that we have this log jam at RB.  I can see how he wouldn't have gotten much PT now, and it was probably a great move for him.

In his games so far this year, he is averaging over 150 yards per game i believe (but i'd have to look up the stats, and that would require too much effort right now  )

Anyway, nice to see him doing well.  He played a key role in that upset so he will always have a place as a Bull, even if it was only for a season.

I happen to tune into the game last night, when Morgan State was at the goal line. Chad Simpson punched it in. He wouldn't have been able to crack the 2 deep so it was a good move for him.

Simpson said before the season he wanted to rush for 2,000 yards this season. He's a good kid, so glad to see him doing well.

During that UL game, I was still not convinced that we were going to win.  When he ran that opening kickoff back and someone behind me spilled their $8 beer on me whilst jumping up and down, I realized that this game was OURS.

Totally tactless.  This wasn't a kid who left bc of problems with the law or drugs.  Just was realistic about his future and I for one hope he does well as we should.  The better he does, the more it speaks to the guys still here.  Big time programs don't launch attacks on ex players like that. 

I live in Bama country and EVERY Bama fan I know is rooting for Ford to do well and were sad to see it not work out for him.  If we want to be treated as a classy team, we got to act like it first.

Like you said.....much easier to see the wisdom in what he did now that you see the STACKED backfield @ USF.

People need to be clear on something.  When you financially support something or help build something as many of us were in those early years, you are just as important as the guys playing on the field today and it is YOUR TEAM as much as it is theirs bc if not for you, they wouldn't be suiting up to play a single game.  So yes, "we" is appropriate if you've attended USF or donated to the program...
