BUCS WAVE WHITE FLAG: For next week's game against West Virginia, the Bulls will have "USF" painted at midfield - and not over the usual Bucs white flag - and also will have "Bulls" in each end zone, Tampa Sports Authority spokeswoman Barbara Casey said.

University of South Florida sophomore LB Chris Robinson, who missed the season opener against Elon and was limited to a few plays at Auburn on Sept. 8 because of an ankle injury, is expected to play Saturday against North Carolina, USF coach Jim Leavitt said.

Despite not starting a game last season, Robinson finished second on the team with seven sacks.

i think it has more to do with the Bucs schedule..

tearing up the grass in the endzones is one thing, but tearing up the tuff in mid-field might draw more than a few complaints from the NFL

The Robinson news is what really matters here as a good pass rush will be necessary to win this weekend.  I could careless what is painted on the field as long as we win and I'm sure CJL and the players feel the same way.

Just a thought that was crossing my mind... if Glazer can get a sold out crowd on Saturday and Sunday, does he then care what the field looks like? Is he indifferent about it? I'm sure he would go with the Bucs since he owns them and all... but, like I said... it was more of a random thought.
