Why does it even matter? Both are college's in the state of Florida that take in the students who get denied or lack the confidence to apply to UF, and Miami who live in those areas. Basically as far as academics go UCF, USF, and Florida State are all in the same league and with Florida State's football program coming down to earth all 3 schools are in the same league in football too. Hell after their performance over Texas I think UCF could possibly beat Florida State, and I think USF would have a great chance at beating them in Tallahassee and would definitely beat FSU at home.

It was a long time ago, but I got accepted to UF and chose to go to USF. Your generalization is an insult.

It gets even worse than that; I was in Orlando about a month ago and was reminded by a UCFer that UCF was the 15th largest (or something) University in the Nation, while we were discussing football.  They harp on these useless facts.  In fact at one point the conversation turned into, where would you send your kid to USF or UCF, UCF is the 15th Largest University.  As if the number of students over 35 or 40 thousand really matters, Princeton, Yale, Harvard and Stanford are smaller and if I ever had a kid who recieved a scholarship to go to either, I wouldn't say go to UCF because it has more students.  The truth is; that UCF hasn't grown because people are moving to Central Florida to go to UCF, its grown because people are moving to Central Florida; naturally, the local state University reaps the benefits.  I lived in Orlando for 8 years and it is amazing how they see themselves.  When I graduated high school in '90, UCF was a building; while USF was a University.  UCF is fortunate in many ways, but many of their students think that its because of something other than the population boom in Central Florida over the last 20 years and they think that the money which comes in is because they're academic programs and students are more deserving of it.

All major state universities will at one point have some kind of insane or delusional person or group or some kind of catastrophe that the press makes sure the world knows of.    

I am pretty sure that I heard recently (on commentary during one of our games or something) that USF was 9th largest.  Anyone else or I am just hearing things?

Same here. Given the size of the USF Honors Program, I'm sure there are many more who could have gotten into alot of places..but CHOSE USF (imagine that)

But what do we expect....the generalization was made by USF-Colby....he's too busy "husslin" over in "Palm Harlem" to get facts straight......  (kids today... :)

You are correct. At nearly 45,000 undergrad, USF is ******* huge. However, UCF is larger, ranking sixth in the nation. UCF passed USF on this list about three years ago.

You are definitely assuming too much. Colby is a little idiot freshman that slurps UF every chance he gets. Just because he got rejected from there doesn't mean we all did. You need to go post with the rest of your friends on Gatorzone and stop coming over here with all this "UF is superior" nonsense. Go join Tony Joiner in kissing Tebow.

First, UCF is just a tad-bit larger than USF... The idiot GOLDEN KNIGHT who said its better because its bigger is at UCF for a reason. Second, I  also got accepted to UF and USF. UF seemed like a factory and didnt care about the students. I picked USF, im a junior now, and these past years have been the best of my life. F- UCF!!!!!
