If you hate the "faggy" wristband so much, you could always not go to the game.

Good Lord, YOU'RE GETTING INTO THE BIGGEST GAME IN SCHOOL HISTORY FOR FREE and you all are still complaining.

Technically, it's not free. I dont need to worry about the whole armband thing, but for a full time student (we'll call it 30 credit hours per year, the minimum to advance a "level") they pay roughly $345 in athletic fees. I think for that price (esp. considering they don't have any say in it) I think they have the right to complain.

Except the $345 gives them tickets to football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and softball games.  That's what, 50-60 games per year or more?  Not bad when you consider what you get for that value.

Yes, it's a bargin in the scope of things, but I'm sick of hearing about how students get stuff for "free".

Doesn't the athletic fee also pay for campus recreation and intramurals?

Come on guys... They have valid complaints. Especially about wearing it all week.

Oh, and its not fair to say the students have a great bargain - they didn't bargain for anything. Its more like an adhesion contract. They have no choice about the amount they pay even if they only want to go to the football games.

A good deal of students work. They might actually have to dress professionally for their jobs, they might have dress codes. What if they are made to cut if off by their employer? They have a good argument against athletics for another one. Not to mention the fact that it is likely going to be uncomfortable wearing it all week (eat, sleep, shower... are students going to be engaging in 'relations' while wearing their bracelets? But I digress... ;D). This won't last.

What about employers that require a tee? Some do that you know. Theme parks perhaps?

I understand and appreciate your die-hardness, but you can admit this is a little ridiculous.

Give me a break. It's not a tattoo of a snake's head or a naked lady or something, it's a plastic wristband. You're right, I can admit this is a little ridiculous.  :)

Seriously, it's a plastic wristband!! If you have a T for work wear a watch on that wrist to cover it up or cut it off till game time. If you work in a professional environment, which I bet most students don’t, wear a long sleeve shirt. Plus this companion argument is hilarious; you are buying tickets for someone cheaper then anywhere else and complaining about it?!? If it's that big of a hassle pay the extra $10 and get a seat. I am willing to bet next time we get WVU and UL at home students will be entered into a lottery and buying season tickets prior to the start of the season as that seems to be the most logical way to distribute the limited student tickets USF has. Its work for every other major University and it'll work for USF.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
