Friend Report: Line at Sun Dome

I assume they are only giving out 8,000 wristbands for lower level seating - correct?  If that's the case and a companion can't get a wristband then companions must be relegated to the upper deck.  I sure don't want to be the security guy checking for wristbands in the lower sections.

Take this with your grain of salt but the girls at the Sun Dome said that I just have to have my companions with me and they too can sit in the lower bowl. UNC is a nice warm up for WVU. I am planning on being in my seat at least an hour before the game.

That makes no sense.  How do they know how many "companions" will be escorted to the lower bowl by green wristband clad student?  If it fills up with 1/2 companions and a student shows up with a green wristband, but there are no more seats, they are gonna be pissed.  Yikes, I hope USF and the TSA have this all figured out or it good get mighty ugly around 7:45pm on the 28th.

It's really gonna bother me if I go Monday and get tickets (companion tickets included) and we don't get wristbands for the companion tickets bought Monday

this doesnt make much sense....why do they put it on you right then and there.

i can understand only giving each person 1 but no need to put it on right away.  if they lose it or give it away thats their own business. 

Maybe the swipe of the card can only tell if they are a student, not if they've come through the line 10 times over the span of 3 days, and are planning on selling or giving away their bands.

I would hope they have other colors for the WVU game.

I was thinking the same thing. I am not sure how they are going to handle it to be honest. Lesson: Get in early! This is why I said it was a good warm up for WVU. If it becomes a shoving match to get into the "traditional students section" next Friday is going to be quite interesting! As one girl said in line "Calm down people, this is a WONDERFUL problem to have"

The guy at the box office was a complete ass hole, and treated me like I was six.

On top of that, he said that if I didn't put it now, work, wedding, any reason, he couldn't give it to me.

Are they going to be checking tickets, ID's, AND wristbands just to get in the **** student section? This is slightly ridiculous, and seems like pretty poor planning. There is no way I'm going to be stuck wearing that wrist band all next week if I go to get my tickets early.

Oh, and there's no way in hell they will let people with wristbands escort "companions" into the lower student section. Based on the way they acted today you should be grateful they didn't brand you with your barcode number.

I don't mind the bracelet. I havent really noticed it much. However, the people at the Sun Dome were pretty rude. Glad to see such a strong demand for tickets. I waited 30 minutes for mine. GO BULLS!

well actually that would be the next game after this one but I get your point.

This system seems a little flawed to me too. Some people are cutting them off and taping them back on-- what prevents everyon from doing this? Are tehy going to know who did or didn't cut this off and if it was picked up some sneaky way?

yeah-- I'm thinking you need to give out tickets for actual seats. Problem with that is it seems like more students corwd into the section than there are seats for them.

oh well-- hope it goes well -- youg guys try to keep everyone calm out there
