Unofficial BCS rankings: USF No. 23

The first official BCS standings won’t be released until Oct. 14, but who wants to wait that long? Certainly not me.

And there’s no need to – check out BCS Guru, which updates the “unofficial†BCS standings each week. Of course, these are only projections since the Harris Poll and two of the six computer polls used in the BCS poll haven’t begun ranking teams yet.

But BCS Guru has a pretty good read on what the up to date BCS rankings would be. Two weeks ago after upsetting Auburn, USF was ranked 20th. This week the Bulls are 23rd.

The other Big East teams’ unofficial BCS rankings this week: No. 4 West Virginia, No. 13 Rutgers and No. 20 Louisville
