My multiple "inside sources" tell me that 60K is a virtual certainty given the pace of sales right now, and that a sellout is a definite possibility.

instead of posts about how many of our students turnout for games and make noise, we are nitpicking about them doing the wave, making noise while we are on offense, or chanting bullsh_t.

i remember games back during the 02 season were 50% of the entire crowd was sitting in the student section.

Yeah, there were games like that, but that 50% didn't add up to much.  When you have a campus with 40k students... what we are seeing now should be the norm.  It is great to see how the students are pouring in.  We could easily top 13k students at the next few games, imo.  That has never happened before, not since the first year.

Next year could very well put an end to game day tix for students/companions, expect us to go to preseason tix ... demand is finally started and the luxery of getting tix on game day in the lower level may be over.
