Why would Cincinnati not be in this list and why would Bowling Green go to the PapaJohn's Bowl over a Big East team?

I would love to play UM or FSU in a Bowl game but would a Carolina Bowl realistically take (2) Florida schools?

i doubt any bowl game would take two schools that are both far away, geographically, from the site of the game.  the only option is to finish third or second in the conference to ensure a good bowl game.

Playing another Florida school would be unlikely.

Notre Dame could - if they play their cards juuuuuuuusssst right - be bowlless this year.

Us and ND won't happen under the current structure.  ND is essentially the Big East representative when they play in certain bowls (Sun Bowl, Gator Bowl).  I think it would be the same for any other bowl that they would play in, such as the Insight.com bowl.
