Why can't you buy Away Game tickets at the Marshall Center?

I apologize if this is common knowledge, but I went to the Marshall Center's Ticketmaster this morning and they said I had to call some phone number to get away game tickets.  They said I can only buy home games there.  What the hell is the point of having a Ticketmaster in the Marshall Center if you can't buy USF games  >.  In fact, for verification purposes, I figured it would be more secure showing them my Student ID IN PERSON to prove i am a student.

Because we have a limited number of away game tickets, we don't sell them on ticketmaster.  The number you were given is to our ticket sales department.  This is basically to make sure our tickets are getting to USF people.  For instance the Rutgers game this year we have turned away a ton of people trying to get tickets because they are not a USF alum, season ticket holder, student or donor.  It's to make sure people like you get the tickets.  Hope that explains it.  Go Bulls!

I believe, correct me if I am wrong Eric, that the MC ticketmaster is for events like concerts and such where as the ticket center at the Sundome is for sporting events. Is that right?

If that is true, I'd like to know.. I'm on campus now and I'll stop by the Sun Dome.  Sounds kind of dumb, but I just feel more secure getting the tickets in person.

Not sure about the Marshall Center ticket master.  I would assume because our home game tickets are available through ticketmaster you could purchase them at any TM outlet.  I do know the you can purchase concert tickets through the SunDome ticket office as occasionally you see the long line forming for the big concerts when tickets go on sale.

Just got me some companion tickets at the sundome box office for tomorrow's game...

I spoke with them at the Marshall center Ticketmaster box office last week about that.

They told me that they only sell tickets to events taking place in FLORIDA.
