Is this our biggest weakness this year?

Last year we had 14 interceptions (probably from being rushed) and 25 sacks. Should we be worried?

we have everyone returning but :

A) can the stay healthy

B) Depth and by this I mean are we going to be able to rest our starters when we are blowing teams out.

I really dont know what to expect they could be very good or our biggest problem

The interior of the line should be fine, especially if Huners makes it back.  Better pray that Walker and Dile stay healthy.  If either of them gets hurt, it will cost this team a shot at the Big East title.

Having a solid running game will keep teams from pinning their ears back and coming after grothe on every play.  Running the ball consistently will not only give us more "rushing yards" but will also give us more time in the passing game because the defense will have to account for the possibility of Ford or Taylor taking the hand-off.  Play action passes should be much more effective as well.

When and if hunters gets back this year I doubt he will be 100%. Take it from a guy with three knee ops

You ask a good question.  I think of all places to look for "danger" the O-line is on the 1/2 way list.  We are good inside and as long as we can get/stay healthy.  They/we should give Grothe a bit more time this year.  Yes, last time he was hurried - but remember he is one of the few quarterbacks that "bounces" off other players and runs for 15+ gains upfield after they anticipate him being sacked.

The o-line definitely was suspect last year however, on paper they have every reason to be better than last year (returning starters, biggest line we've had here i think,    knowledge of the scheme), its just a matter of translating that from paper to on the field.  We have pretty much no depth at tackle so an injury there could really take the wind out of our sails.  I think this is our biggest question mark going into the season and i think their play will make our break our year more than any other position group (minus injuries).  If our offensive line shows significant improvement this could be a very special season.

I feel great about our O-Line, except for depth at OT also.

I see our RB's running strong inside for the season.

Go BULLS !!!

Depth is my biggest concern at o-line.

I'm glad Capogna has some experience, but hey...265 lbs. is a an exceedingly small center in 2007.

265 was standard for 1975, but going against the DT's & LB's he'll have this year will really put that to a test.

I'll be keeping a very close eye on him this season.

If Sampson Genus has really been as impressive as Leavitt says (and he must be since Leavitt is usually VERY guarded about saying anything positive about freshmen), I would like to see him get a crack at the #1 center spot.  He's a beast.  McCaskill too.
