Driving home from Orlando this afternoon, I heard someone call about USF and ask about the perception of USF as being ranked too high in some polls.

To his credit, Duemig gave USF a lot of love, seemed to know a lot more about the program than in years past, and gave a pretty objective view of how he thought our season would go.  Basically said we had no chance at Auburn (which is his opinion, of course), stating that it's tough for an SEC program to go in there and win, so USF will be overwhelmed.  I don't agree, but it's a fair perspective.  Had us in every other game due to our speed and having WVU and UL at home.  Closed by saying that he thought USF fully deserved to be in the Top 25 and that he was glad that voters have seemed to stop voting in "names" as much (Notre Dame, Miami) and are putting quality teams up there.  Said that with an upset at Auburn and beating WVU, he could see USF in the Top 10.

Was nice to hear from someone who hasn't historically been a USF ally.

He's slowly starting to make the transition.  He's starting to see more and more interest in the community, and figures he'd better start paying attention so he doesn't look like a complete jackball when USF becomes a consistent top 25 team.

Us diehards know he hasn't supported us from day one and that not too long ago he was a total doosh to the occasional caller that wanted to talk USF football.  That being said, we need the pub, so I guess we can't really complain eh?

Hahaha.... Yeah he's usually an ***hat... Donkeyhat? Can I say that instead?

Good to hear though... But you knew when USF started turning the corner that media would pile on.

Duemig is all about ratings and will talk about whatever is popular. Good sign that he is talking about USf it means people are talking about USF. They win some big games and it will snowball.

But good words are good words, even if coming from an A-Hole!!!!!

He typifies a bandwagon supporter in the truest sense of the word.

Ratings are his only team sport.  Oh, excuse me, I should say besides being an "excellent" (cough, cough, cough) golfer.

If I remember correctly he also said that we beat WVU last year with some trickery (dominated them through 3 quarters is not trickery) and said that he remembered that WVU played as badly as they could. The caller balked at that line a bit but went along with Big Idiots breakdown of WVUs defense. He did say that USF could match up with anyone speed wise.

Not a fan of his but he tried to be decent toward USF but he is still light years away from being well informed.

after hearing this idiot compare USF with a very crappy Baylor squad in terms of who you can count on losing a game-- which at the time was COMPLETELY IGNORANT AND ABSOULTELY WRONG WRONG WRONG (USF was great against the spread)

This Duemeg guy can go suck a massive you know what--- forever

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
