i have on a USF polo today... nobody has yelled at me, told me to go to USF if I am such a fan, etc. and I don't feel like I am betraying UT.

yes, but how do you know the people on USF's campus wearing other school's gear are not doing grad work or have some other strong affiliation with a school?  Even if they don't, people wear UGA, UF, Bama stuff around here all the time and they are not confronted.

I asked one girl if she was lost yesterday... she looked at me weird for a moment. Then I pointed out that this wasnt UF and we dont wear blue and orange. Her retort was near pricless... "I wanted to go to UF, but my grades aren't good enough so I support them down here." I laughed and walked away.

I had a girl in one of my summer classes who wore gators garb all but one day (i kept track). Come to find out, she'd applied for UF 3 times and had gotten denied every time...but being the go getter that she was...tried again. Some people you just cant help but feel sorry for.

well, im in class right now and Im wearing my bulls jersey. I can count up to 6 usf shirts here in class. none from other schools. I see more greek shirts though.

UT doesn't have a problem with school spirit., while USF does. That's what this is about. People taking pride in the school THEY go to, not the one they wanted to go to, or mommy and daddy went to. It's a slap in the face everytime somewhere wears a UF, UM, and FSU shirt here, because it's saying I don't like this school and would rather be here.

Can you compare USF's situation with UT's? People are going to follow you program over any other, the same can't be said about Tampa. I'm sure in UT you don't hear radio ads advertising bars where you can catch UG,AL, and Auburn games w/o any mention of UT. You don't walk up to a store there where the whole store front is dedicated to AL merchandise.

That's a little bit different (assuming you're talking about the U of Tampa). They don't have a football team and they're D-II for everything else. USF and UT only ever play each other in soccer.
