I used to love watching Chivas as the headhunter on kickoffs.  He would hurtle down the field and bust the other team's wedge.  He made a bunch of tackles on special teams.  I remember that ol' Jon was the guy who got kicked off the team when he dropped a cement block out of window at Fontana onto a sheriff's car.  The Jim didn't take too kindly to that incident.  Exit one kickoff team headhunter.  :D

LOL, I remember that incident. Still the strangest thing I think any USF athlete has ever done.

I also remember Chivas getting away with jumping up on the back of another player to block a PAT in the Southern Illinois game of 1999. The Bulls ended up winning by one point and I remember this being a huge deal at the time. The Salukis were like #6 in I-AA going into the game.

I think Chivas blocked multiple PATs...I remember I was disappointed with his departure because he made a real difference on Special Teams. Maybe he's in construction now.

Yeah, he kept jumping up on his teammates until the refs finally started flagging him for it. That's about when Chivas decided the sheriff's deputy needed that cinder block more than he did and sent it down to his car.
