Jim, great reference list.  But one more game of big interest for me is K-state at Auburn.  I didn't see it on the list but I did go through the list pretty fast.

How is NC State ranked 44? Was this based on a coaches poll or something? I know NC State has a decent RB duo, but their probably the worst team in the ACC Atlantic division. FSU, Boston College, and Clemson are ACC title contender, Wake Forest is the former champion and has a better team on paper this year, so that leaves Maryland and NC State and I think if you look at the teams Maryland is clearly better. So theres just no way NC State is the 44th best team in the nation, considering the ACC isn't even that good of a league.

FSU, Boston College, and Clemson are ACC title contender, Wake Forest is the former champion and has a better team on paper this year, so that leaves Maryland and NC State and I think if you look at the teams Maryland is clearly better. So theres just no way NC State is the 44th best team in the nation, considering the ACC isn't even that good of a league.

If you consider that everyone receiving votes in the AP is technically "ranked" ... and NC State received one point from one AP voter... so they are tied for 44th ... along with Purdue, Houston, and Kentucky...
