All in all, a pretty good article hitting some of the big questions of 2007, whether you agree with the points or not.  A few references to USF throughout.

USF has a chance to be a darkhorse national title contender, and UCF is capable of winning its conference. Most successful? It's hard to pick against USF. The Bulls return so much and their ascension is still fresh enough to be surprising to some.

AC: I'll say the South Florida Bulls, though it might not be too unexpected because USF is receiving a lot of love this preseason. And what's not to love? USF returns bunches of starters, plays West Virginia and Louisville at home and Matt Grothe just might be the best college QB in the state.

Don't take it personal.  He equally hates the Magic, UCF, county commissioners, Girl Scouts, etc.

It's his schtick, not that it's a good one.

I believe that one source has our schedule among the 10-15th toughest.  Is this not tough enough to be considered 'big boy' for you?

Oh, never mind.  I just found out USC got to them first.  That's why they are "big boys".

After living in Orlando for a few years, I have to tell you that the pre-season coverage of USF is the most they have ever ever done. The article with Grothe on the front page of the Sports section was a big deal.  There have been weeks during the season where we (USF) got a box score and two sentences for a win.  That being said, they did not do a special section.  It was Florida, FSU, Canes, UCF, Bucs, Fins, Jags and local stuff.  If we have a good year, even the bean counters will notice at the Sentinel.

Check out this article I ran across in the Sentinel early today.  Sorry if it was already posted.  It's nice to see that others are starting to take notice, though I would still choose to sneak up on people.  Overall, I thought the article was nice all around read.  Enjoy.
