FAN FEST WAS AWESOME!!

I want to give some BIG kudos to USF Athletics for holding the Bulls Fan Fest at Raymond James stadium... it was a  great time, a and great event...

I would say the crowd was around 1500-2000 strong... the weather held out, and while it was warm -- there was a great breeze on the field.

I saw a lot of Bullspenners out today... Obviously lots of Bull Backers (ET, JoeB, _EI, bullsmania, MikeG, Zonald, Ricky_the_Bull, Mutt, Bubbles, applepj, Lake Bull, Wolfman, Bullmeister, bullwark,...) but also Paisa el Toro, Mama_ & Papa_Bull, kdawgy_orlando, mulheap, gurlybull...

Yes, I am excited about the 2007 season... but this new tradition, Bulls Fan Fest at Ray Jay, will be something to put on the calendar for many years to come...

and a BIG THANK YOU to the USF Coaches, players, Sun Dolls, and Cheerleaders!!!

I got two posters signed by the entire football team and coaches.

And Rocky also signed something for me, that was weird...

The heat was KILLER.  Thank God a player which I forgot who, gave me a cup of water.

It was really fun, the players seemed pumped up and ready to play.

Oh, and anyone else notice the last 4 players?  Trae, Grothe, Jenkins and Moffit.  Gamebreakers right there.

I had an awesome time. Being on the field (without any tasers) was like being a kid in a canday store. All the players were great and ready to go. Having such a great turnout was awesome.

I was skeptical of the location, but it really turned out for the best. It was much better than in years past and everyone was very accommodating. A Good job by all.

Although I missed the "closeness" of having it at the school, it was definitely a great event.  I can see this becoming bigger and better every year.  This brought out a lot of people that I don't think would have otherwise went to the school and Woolard told me that they were selling season tickets which is always a plus.

Great time! It was my first time out at a FAD and all the players were great. Very welcoming! IT WAS GREAT to be out on that field. First time I have ever been on any football field (college or pro) and it was nice to see their view for the first time! Aside from how the "lines" worked, it was a great day!

It was an AMAZING time, all the players thanking everyone for showing up.

I believe it was Perkins #35 that gave our group the water, which I told him he was my new favorite player. lol All the assistant coaches introduced themselves with their names.

Mike Ford was awesome! His mom actually took a pic of us, and he talked to us for a few minutes.

A GREAT decsion to move it to RayJay.

E.T. s pic of George Selvie reminds me, he was awesome as well as all the players were.

A great event aside from a couple of glitches (late start, a single line, early end). It had the feel of an "event" that the practice field FAD didn't really have and room to grow in the future. My only criticism was the single line, many people were still in line when the players left (though CJL stayed when others were gone). It was great that there were so many of the players signing and others were very approachable as they were walking around. My wife commented how nice they all were (Jim is training them well).

A couple of observations:

That single line has to go, maybe break them up by off/def/coaches.

Walter Walker is HUGE compared to prior FAD's.

Mike Ford is an athlete with guns. Very impressive. (see photo (I'm 6'-1 / 215)

With that body Clebert was born to be a defensive lineman.

Team size will not be a problem in the future, the freshman have some bulk.

Where was the band?

Cheap thrill - walking on the field.

Sales of drinks down on the field would have been tremendous and helpful in the heat.

There could be more family and spirit activities on the field (Cheerleader / Sundoll / Band) (kids activities).
