i just hope we dont peak early and end up like a texas tech/arizona st/minnesota/NC St type team that always ends up with a winning record and a bowl bid, but doesnt contend for a conference title and/or nat'l title.  However, i think the fact that we are the only program in the Big East located in florida and we have a good coach will give us a chance at being an elite team.  we need to catch up to 3 other teams in our conference.

one of the biggest things that keeps the "elite" programs elite is consistant play.

it would take atleast 10 more years on bowl wins and rankings before we were anywhere near Elite.

you can win a BCS bowl before you are an Elite team...and then you have to win a few of them to really be considered Elite.

i think we CAN do it.  but its not something that would happen in the next 2 or 3 years.  i do think that we can compete for a BCS bowl game in a few years depending on how we stack up this year against an Elite team like auburn in a hostile enviroment.

I see our beloved BULLS winning The Big East in 2007 and will be "in the hunt" each season.
