Winner goes to Papajohns.com:

Can't wait for the second week of the college football season. The South Florida-Auburn matchup in Jordan-Hare Stadium should be a barn-burner.

That game got even bigger with the release of the first AP poll of the season over the weekend. Now it's official.

Auburn vs. South Florida will be a battle for fourth place in the Big East.

According to the coaches in that league, South Florida is expected to finish behind West Virginia, Louisville and Rutgers.

According to the AP poll voters, No. 18 Auburn isn't as good as No. 3 West Virginia, No. 10 Louisville or No. 16 Rutgers.

At least the Tigers and the Bulls get to settle things on the field.

Maybe the winner should get an automatic bid to the Papajohns.com Bowl.

I would be extremely disappointed if we wound up at the PPJ bowl again.  At the very least (and I expect more) I can live with us going to the Muffler Bowl.  Charlotte is an awesome city and they treated us like we owned the town.

So will we.  I think AU and USF both should be higher in the polls, but I'll take a higher post-season ranking than the wild-a$$ guesses of some self-serving media types.  The B'ham. News is nothing but a bama bobo-honking fish wrap.  I canceled my subscription last year with a terse note to that effect.  The News slamming Auburn, as usual, and how that means we're snobs doesn't makes sense.  But, I'm extremely proud to be an Auburn tiger.  Though I'm sure we have our share of snobs, I guess pride can be confused with snobbery and vice versa.  I'm looking forward to the game, it should be a good one.  War Eagle! (Don't you hate it when opposing fans come on your board and read over your shoulders.) ;D
