With new rule... who will be returning for us this year?

I'd like to see some Carlton Hill action back there. Jenkins would also be nice as he is one of our faster players. I like the idea of having an athletic team and being able to return these kicks, however, we also had some issues on kick coverage and it seemed like the other team could've broke one on us at any time. We need to improve on that.

Fast does not mean a good returner.  Good returners have more wiggle and lateral quickness as opposed to straight line speed.  Not looking at any true freshmen I think Aston Samuels, Jessie Hester or Taurus Johnson could be good KRs.

I agree you need more than just a 40 time to return kicks, but Hill is definitely elusive.

I read he did return a cuople kicks for TDs at Pearl River.  Wonder why the staff would not look at him to return here.

Mike Jenkins is too valuable at Corner to be back on kickoffs.  Put some of the backups out there and give them an opportunity to shine.  Hester, Carlton Hill, Samuels, all would be fine back there.

Trae Williams has been returning kickoffs for sometime now... might be more of a "hands" thing... catching a kick is not the same as catching a pass...

And let's not forget the fastest Bull, Colby Erskin, was a kickoff returner before hurting his knee.

I don't like the idea to put Mike Jenkins on the kickoff receivers..  Do we have depth in CBs?  I don't think so!!  Give him some rest for defense only... I would rather to put Mike Jenkins on kickoff to prevent opponent's TD return if the score is close.  He prevented WVU's TD reverse play.  I also didn't forget what he did to UM's TE Olsen. :-)

yeah but can he hold on to the ball. Nothing kills a team like a fumble on a kick off
