ESPNU Big East preview.....

Looks like they are going to talk about us right now, just coming back from commercial.

I am glad McShay started talking positively about us because it did not look like they were giving us much props while talking about the BE in the beginning.  McShay kept saying he doesn't think we will be sleepers anymore since people are starting to notice us.  The panel was also impressed with our schedule and dogged UL, WVU and RU with having a cupcake schedule in the beginning.

thing i noticed the most about that preview was that they really didnt mention our secondary.  they talked great about our front 7 but i think with our corners and young safetys we also have one of the best complete units in the big east.

One thing I saw ... was other than a few places with Rutgers and WVU ... they didn't show much USF in the highlights for the other 7 Big East teams...

They didn't talk about the unit as a whole, but they said they return one of the best cover corners in the league in Jenkins, and that Williams is game changer after having 7 interceptions. In addition McShay said he thinks Moffitt is the best LB in the conference, "only player not undersized on the team at a big 240".

I liked the preview as a whole, but I thought the whole comparing Grothe to Montana was strange. I would say Steve Young if anything.

My comments are the following:

The studio for this show must be next to Rutgers because they dedicated a lot of time to that program.

South Florida is a mystery to them because we have new coaches (they did not mention) and new running back weapons.

They did focus on our defense but again did not mention we have a new defense coach.

We win they will start doing more home work and talking to people like Greg.

Ben Moffitt is not the best LB in the Big East... Hell, he isn't even the best on his own team.  I would take the LB from Rutgers before Big Ben... I would take Tyrone McKenzie before both of them though...
