Ranked higher than Notre Dame is great! I did a double take!

Everybody is #1 right now in my book as I said in the other topic about AP Rankings. How do we know USC is the number 1 team anyway? Given their entire roster is full of players who were among the top ranked of their respective positions when they were recruited but potential doesn't mean anything. I'm not convinced that their going to be strong at RB even with all their top 5 recruits in their 10 deep, at wide receiver their inexperienced, and their replacing key starters on their offensive line. Their defense does have experience and should be good but a couple of injuries changes everything.

If I had to do preseason rankings I would rank USC #1, but I think preseason rankings are dumb. If after the first half USC is undefeated, and have been winning all of their games convincingly and are healthy I could see ranking them #1 but right now their in the same group as everyone else.
