I tried researching it, but the FSU rosters from around then does not list a Steve Riggs.  I'm not sure why I thought he was from FSU.  I know Gramatica was from there.  He is listed on the 96 FSU roster.

Does anyone have a 1997 USF media guide?  This will bug me until I hear where Riggs transferred from.  Help a Bull Brother out!!

Sandy, as I recall (will check media guide later) was a transfer QB from Georgia...never worked out here though as Barnhardt ran the team for two years, then the glimpse of Gauntt and Marquel Blackwell...

I don't have a media guide, but I know it was Weber State. I don't know how/why I remembered that. Here's the only mention I could find of it online:

Ya... Mike Usry was the UGA QB... That kid threw the ball so **** hard... He ripped the thumb holder off my glove one time on a ball he threw. He was definitely a cerebral player... was doing grad school work while he was at USF. A great guy to say the least.

Ronnie Banks... my homeboy... I swore he would make everyone forget about Marquel with his arm... never panned out though... He still had the better and more accurate arm than PJ IMO. Haven't talked to him in about a year... His family lost everything in the New Orleans hurricane. Still not sure if he ever figured out how to access the money we collected for his house and placed in the pay pal account. Bulliever... is that money still accessible for Ronnie and his fam? Or does pay pal keep unclaimed funds after a certain time period... that would suck as the board did a real good job coming to his family's aid!

Amazing enough but three of those players (MCready, K. Jones and R. Benjamin) from that team have a SuperBowl Ring and the one who does not A. Hnery almost won Rookie of the Year in his first season.
