Can we just create a whole new forum where we can park stadium chatter?

I won't be happy until we have a stadium that seats 100,000 and the seats are leather wrapped and provided by Lazy Boy.  Also the stadium parking lot must open two weeks in advance before kick off to allow ample time for tailgatting.

As a UCF fan, I will say that comparing UCF and USF on the stadium issue is unfair.  UCF for years played in a decaying stadium in a decaying part of Orlando far from campus.  Ray Jay isnt too much closer, but its a great facility in an acceptable part of town that is easily accessible and makes for an enjoyable game day experience.

No one is clamoring for a stadium on-campus at UCLA (even though that would be a great game day campus.)  Same thing for UNLV and San Diego State.  These are urban schools and their stadiums serve them fine.

If I were a facility planner at USF I would put money into renovating the Sun Dome because of the revenue and success potential playing in the Big East.

The CB was/is falling apart and for several years UCF has been trying to make the main campus a more traditional college setting.  As an alum, I am very proud to say I think we have pulled it off.  But, I think USF's priorities are well placed and wouldn't bother me one bit if I was a USF supporter.

If everyone went out to work and worked the same amount of time you posted about an OCS throughout the years... we could have paid for one already. Gezz  :Bang

Once again this proves why the Dumbgeon is useless, they still come on here and but into a thread about USF OCS stadium which has nothing to do with them. Funny UConn and UL fan did not feel the need to pimp their stadium when it was brought up here. As more and more posts get poisoned on this board I lose desire to read them.

I rarely post on any of these boards as evident by post count.  You USF guys complain about UCF poster posting on this board, bulliever included, but you guys, when talking about the OCS start trashing UCF's stadium.  What do you think is going to happen.

Facts are facts and USF does not have an OCS.  Do they need one, no, but at the same time, don't complain about poor season ticket sales compared to BCS schools and the "commuter school" environment.  To have that true college feel on campus(I'm not talking about college football feel) the campus must be all inclusive.  A student should be able to live on campus without having to spend much time off campus. This is more then about football, it is about the whole university.

USF season tickets sales have nothing to do with an OCS. It has to do with the newness of the program and getting alumni that did not go to school supporting athletics to do so.

Building an OCS stadium at USF and as it did in our inaguaral season increase season sales because many would want to experience the newnes of the event, BUT if you dont win or play "name "teams those fans that came for the newness will drop off. It has happened at every sports team that has ever built a new stadium.

Now as you said both schools were in different situations, your school did the right thing for them and wil benefit from it. USF on the other hand is not in dire need of an OCS, so it can wait and build something later on that meets its requirements.

Chair backs may be important to some, but I still think that playing in the old Tampa Stadium was a better environment than in Raymond James.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
