Everyone deserves a 2nd chance.  I'd take him.  But he gets a really short leash.  One strike, and you're out.

I agree.

Ill third this notion

Agreed.  They'll have all the facts and are more qualified to make the decision.

I say give him a chance if he shapes up. We aren't exactly deep at the o-line position...

Actually probably this year we're the deepest at OL as we've ever been in the history of the Bulls.  We return 7 guys with starting experience (Griffin, Schmidt, Capogna, Dile, Walker, Carnes, Huners), throw in Tolley who has played and Zach Hermann who's ready to play that's 9 guys that can step in and play right away.  Behind them we've got mostly freshmen in Warren, Genus, McCaskill, Thomas Edenfield, McGowan, and Chaz Hines.  That's fourteen scholarship OL, and Chaz Hines is a pref walk-on that I believe will surprise many.  USF has never had that many scholarship OL on the same team at one time, which is pretty **** deep.

With that being said we're shallow at OT particularly after losing recruit McCoy, and a talent like Hardwick is not easy to find.  With this type of depth even if he came chances are he'd have a real battle just to find playing time, that's after proving he belongs spending a year on scout team, which is what Leavitt does with most guys sitting a year who transfer in.  If a guy stays clean, and keeps his focus playing as a scout team OL then he'll be good to go, but usually guys like this come in and find the going is to tough then move along.  My guess is the guy is looking for an easy opportunity so he'll go 1-AA.  If he comes here then let him wallow on scout team, and we'll see what type of man he is with Leavitt riding his ass all year.

My mistake. I meant to say OT. Lot of youth there, so I'd like to get a top prospect for that position. Blind side tackle is the 3rd most important position on the field in my opinion.
