I would put this 2 deep up against lots of the traditional power houses (meaning that lots of these guys would earn starting jobs at SEC programs).  The following positions is where I think the talen drops off between 1st and 2nd string.  We need this 1st stringers to stay healthy.  Notice they are all on the offensive side of the ball.

QB

PK

Offensive Tackle

TE

Updated the RB position per Greg's blog...

The correct order, we're told, for those six running backs: Williams, Samuels, Ford, Taylor, Plancher and Cannon. That makes more sense, in that it shows Carl Franks deferring to experience ahead of the unproven younger players. All the backs are going to see action against Elon, so a more telling depth chart will be the one we get next week.

Sweet, keep it up.

Only areas of concern seem to be OT, DE, and DT.  I think Murphy is a good corner, at least judging by what I've seen from re-watching last years' games.  I thought Gilliam was a Junior but live and learn.

Getting Stirrups back at DT would help, and Buie coming back at DE would help.

It seems every other position might get better through experience and improvement.  Like this past year, we might be a better team at every position next year, or at least every one except the ones mentioned.

After 2 games, I think there have been some changes to the depth chart...........there are a couple questions I have(LB, DL, returners), can someone update?

Once USF posts it's game notes for this week I will update.  Although I don't think there are any changes based on what I saw before Auburn.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
