Is he gone? is this old news?DIdn't see him at media day and my search of the site didn't show any mention of him leaving the team.

he's gone, by his own choice. they announced it same day as Ponton and Verpaele. last i'd checked, his plan was to just take classes at USF and not be part of the team.

I think i noticed Verpaele in media day pictures.  Is he going to practice with the team all year?

Yes. Verpeale will practice with the team and as long as his grades are in order, he will play next year.
