Is the band going to Auburn or just FAU?

Last year I believe the Band was only about 260-280ish.  This year they should be pushing 350...

The rule of thumb is the Marching Band should be 1% of the University's Student Body. 

USF has about 43k students...so HOT will eventually be 400-450 people...in theory.

To put it in perspective (and I didn't know either), the Auburn marching band's site states that they have 375 members.

The Band is under the direction of Dr. Corey Spurlin and Dr. Doug Rosener.  Band members are chosen by audition, and represent virtually every school and curriculum on the Auburn campus. About 75 of the 375 members are music majors preparing for careers as performers or teachers. The band includes members from over twenty states as well as throughout Alabama.

Almost... but not quite. The band marched 235 last year. This year there had been as much as 375 on the roster, but it's been trimmed down to just over 300 as of right now. We'll see on August 19th how many show up.

Sounds great.  Glad to hear the numbers are well up from last year.  Always adds to the great experience of raymond james on saturday nights.

I think the HOT adds even more to the experience at away games and bowl games.  I'm really glad they'll be at Auburn.  We'll need all the noise we can muster.

Great to hear the HOT is going to those games...and great to hear the growth in numbers in the band..please remember too that HOT needs support and a few $s go a long way...I hope they will soon come out with that CD would be great having that pumped up on that road trip to Auburn..I spoke to a HOT member at the pre-season tailgate party and she told me they are still working on the copyrights. I so hope they get this resolved...gotta love HOT..Go Bulls
