Ball State athletic director Tom Collins was looking for a replacement with head coaching experience and connections in the state. There was interest in former Ball State and Houston coach Ray McCallum, now an Indiana assistant, former Western Michigan and South Florida coach Robert McCullum, former Saint Louis coach Brad Soderberg, former Akron coach Dan Hipsher and IPFW coach Dane Fife.

Who would even consider hiring him for a Head Coaching job?

Ball State may not be a bad place for him.  Smaller school, small conference.

It was completely obvious he would never sniff a winning season in the big east.

Best of luck to the man who brought me to this board.  I will follow and route for his career from here on out.

Dan Hipsher?  Our Dan Hipsher?  That would be just great if they hired him.  Stan had enough trouble finding good assistants in the spring.  Losing Hipsher at this point in the fall recruiting cycle would NOT be helpful.

Normal

And David Letterman will talk about him on TV - that could be good or bad.

If you guys read the article you would know that neither McCullum nor Hipsher is getting the job.  Its likely going to Ron Hunter from IUPUI (IU-Purdue)
