Practice starts today, and there is NOTHING in the trib sports section about it. There is a large picture of the Plant HS quarterback, but nothing about USF. Outside of Bret does anyone at the trib have a clue that USF exists? Maybe I am over reacting but I think that we do not get the covergae from them that we should.

Always has been a big problem in my opinion! I have written them numerous times and they never get the clue! They have too many Gayturd alumni on that staff!

It's the Trib...

Let's see, outside of Brett you have:

Martin Fennelly: Only occasionally leaves his gopher hole to attempt to embarrass USF and/or be unfunny (usually meets with great success in this regard).

Steve Otto:  With his "Dome" story, proved he's an idiot.

Joe Henderson: Probably busy following the D-Rays dynasty

Joey Johnston:  Who knows?  I think they have someone else covering fishing and NASCAR

They don't take the program seriously and you shouldn't take them seriously - at least not as a legit outlet for USF Athletics.

Bad coffee this morning, and I have to read about their shortcomings again.

It's envy....the St. Pete Times is the official paper of USF Athletics.  Also, Brett has had a rough relationship with USF Athletics.  I think the Trib, in general, takes pleasure in attempting to find dirt on us and not cover the positives.  The Trib can do 10-14 pages in a "Bucs Bonus" and can barely cover our games and virtually nothing from camp, etc.  It's becoming amusing.

Only thing worse than the Trib is the Ledger.  I read the Times.

I think a little slack is due in regards to the first practice as, really, as there's nothing new to report.  I'm hoping to see something about the first day in tomorrow's paper, however.

Really?!  It seems that we link to a lot of good stories about USF in the Ledger.

. . . and he also happens to be a Gator. However, that doesn't detract from the fact that he does an amazing job.
