I wouldn't play Grothe versus Elon for more than the first quarter.  The first quarter should be for the starters to get gelling on the field and make sure they understand the calls and play cadence.  The second through fourth quarters should be time for the backups to play, although freshmen that could be an impact this year should play the whole game for the experience factor.

He has us as 107.4 and Auburn as 97.0, a diference of 10.4 points. Spot Auburn the three points he gives for home field advantage and he thinks we should be a SEVEN point favorite.

So by the Lee Burdorf's Football Ratings USF is -4 at Auburn..........all this is craziness.  I can't wait till they just play the games.

Grothe will play more than the first quarter.  If we're running the ball, the clock will evaporate quickly against Elon, therefore the first quarter won't be the only action MG will see.  I see him playing at least half the game, and maybe even the first set of downs after halftime.  Gregory can play the rest of the game to tune up for Auburn.

I defintely agree. I have no idea why people are under rating UL. They return the best qb in the entire nation...who will probably go number 1 overall or maybe number 2 in the NFL draft. They reload on defense with some juco transfers (willie williams included).

They can score and they play better defense than WVU. The only problem with UL is that they suck on the road. I will make a bold prediction and say that they will beat WVU in morgantown. The score will be 50-46. It will probably be the best game we see all year.

The rankings have been updated... but USF slipped to #32.... and it doesn't include the AP rankings
