Massey has come out with his first rankings for the season.  This combines all known (legitimate) computer and human polls as they come out.  By the 3rd week of the season, this includes about 80 polls/ratings/rankings.

Dotker is one of the computer power ranking formulas.  You can click on the link above the Massey comparison chart to see a specific poll's current ranking and site.  BTW, this Massey comparison comes fairly close to the BCS rankings so it is worth a look each week.

Dokter's model can't be that good... he has Miami (FL) rated higher than West Virginia... Florida just barely ahead of Florida State... etc.

Massey isn't that close to the actual BCS rankings, but it is a part of the official BCS rankings.  If you compare Massey vs the BCS rankings on a historical basis, there are differences.  In fact, if you compare any computer ranking to the BCS, there are differences.  These differences are inherent to the BCS formula, because it allows human bias to enter the equation due to the human polls.  No computer ranking that I know of has managed to get human bias into their formula...

I think JEWBULL meant the "comparison" rankings are close to the BCS... not Massey's own rankings.

So by the Lee Burdorf's Football Ratings USF is -4 at Auburn..........all this is craziness.  I can't wait till they just play the games.
