But to a degree they report what the public wants. When I am not satisfied with reporting, I send them an email. If they only get a few, nothing will change.

Remember a certain game being televised and it was changed ? They received call and emails. Fans can make the difference.

So I taped Bay News 9 Sports Connection, thinking that you know, being the only live daily LOCAL program devoted to LOCAL sports, that they would SURELY dedicate some time to USF's MEDIA DAY.

Not one second of coverage. Zero.

5-10 min of Lightning sale(big story). 15 min of Bucs training camp(same crap, different day). 2-3 min Rays highlight(acceptable). aaaaaaaaaaaand 0 minutes of USF Bulls coverage, on media day.

there really isn't news that comes out of media day. it's a window where coaches and players are available for interviews. if you're a local tv sports guy, and you just did something monday night on the first practice, what can you add from media day a day later? don't get me wrong, i got a feature and a notebook out of it, but it's not a big event from a tv perspective ...

Neither is the day where Bucs players report to training camp, but every year we get video of players carrying their pillows and blankets into the hotel at Disney. You know?
