In the "100 days to Bulls Football" countdown, TheBullsPen.com is hosting discussion on players wearing the numbers 99 to 1.

We're approximately 32 days until kickoff of the 2007 season.

The number 32 was and/or is worn by the following Bulls:

Keith Williams ..........................................1997

Solomon Burgess.............................1999-2000

J.R. Reed ........................................2001-2003

Please post your comments, thoughts and reflections on these Bulls and help countdown the days until kickoff vs. Elon in Raymond James Stadium on September 1, 2007

Remember always seeing JR's mom and family in the stands.

Remember JR's big hits and TD's.

Remember him beating Memphis almost by himself!

Remember him being a great student athlete.

Remember rooting for him in the SB

Wish him the best of luck

Looking forward to carlton continuing his career at USF

Wow, JR was a great player.  He'd easily be on USF's All Time Team for the first 10 years.  That Memphis game was unbelievable in itself.  If anyone doesn't know what game we are talking about, do yourself a favor and find a copy of the game at Memphis in I believe his Senior season.

Best one game performance of any Bulls player since USF started football.  Can anyone deny it?

Without question. He had three interceptions, a fumble return for a touchdown, a kickoff return for a touchdown, 18 rebounds, a goal, three assists, and two home runs. And in front of a huge, rabid crowd that absolutely HATED USF for getting into the Big East while Memphis was going to be stuck in C-DOA.

I would put him in the top five greatest Bulls of the first 10 seasons, with Blackwell, Hall, Henry, and Nicholas.

Hands down, it is J.R. all the way! Memphis still is having flashbacks of what he did that game! It was one of the most single handed took over the game, and at his postion of safety, that is hard to do.

J.R. is really a great guy too.  It is too bad that he was injured in that freak accident.  Without the injury he would be pulling down the big bucks like Anthony Henry.  Has anyone picked him up since he was waived by Atlanta in April?

J.R. is one of my all time favs. Great player, great guy, and hopefully he sticks in the NFL. His mom was pretty cool too, I gave her some of my Jim Beam and coke at Southern Miss.
