I don't want to downplay Trae in any way because him and Mike Jenkins are my two favorite players, but Mike deserves to be on that list and he deserves to be higher than Trae. The only reason that Trae sees all those passes is because Qb's rarely throw in Mike's direction. I think Mike is one of the 5 best corners in the nation and its unfair to rate him on just INTs. Look at all his Pass breakups. I will say that Mike needs to get some better hands.  ;)

I have always felt that Jenkins is the better cover corner so having Williams on the Thorpe watch list only goes to prove the point of how awesome these two guys are going to be as a team.

Have we ever had as many players on national award lists before going into a season?

They both should be on the list at this point.  Williams gets the picks due to Jenkins covering the normal number 1 receiver, therefore he gets the nod over MJ.

Amen, Mike Jenkins and Trae are both pretty freakin' awesome.  BOTH deserve to be on that list, Mike is too good not to include, it's a travesty.  Don't worry about him though, his talent will come to everyone's attention at next year's draft.

remember how Jenks was all over Aundre Allison in the bowl game. Held him to 3 catches for 24 yds.

The weird thing is whenever someone gets beat really deep, it always seems to be Jenkins.

I don't know if it's just me or not. It probably is. But he is still an amazing player.

Those times when Jenkins was "beat" we were most lkely in zone and he frankly sucks playing zone.  Let him play man to man and the WR will never catch the ball.
