I still lived in Tampa when USF beat Pittsburgh, so I didn't send the Star-Telegram... but I do still have this:

And yes, I'm in one of those basketball pictures. I wish I still had my pictures from the trip to Birmingham, but a hard drive failure ate them all. Say, anyone know what happened to that UAB floor mat?

I was there that night.  Chucky graduated the year before I attended USF.  I remember asking myself "who the heck is Chucky Atkins, its all about Brian Lamb". 

Oh well, did that Chucky guy ever make it?

Yep, I had that in the arsenal too but failed to add it.  Thanks.  I have the actual paper and take a look at it from time to time.

Oh, I recognize lots of you!  Jamie, I told Collin to get rid of that mat, but knowing him, it's still enjoying some ritual display in a hidden corner of the Dome.  Bulliever and Jamie, would you be willing to send me scans of those Pitt articles?  Ours were apparently lost, along with some other historical stuff, in the move to the current athletic facility.  We were looking for a couple of those articles so we could have them reproduced for the Hall of Fame.  My email address:  vmitchel@admin.usf.edu.

Wow, some crazy stuff.  I completely DID NOT realize that the game at Pitt in '01 was two days before 9-11.  Thats nutz!!!  I do remember watching the game on TV and saying...hmm, they have football at USF??? And they are good?!?!

I have some video of the CUSA Basketball Tourney from '03 in Louisville.  The team wore "Old School" Uni's during that tourney. The win in the first round over DePaul was pretty SWEET!!!  I have a bad ass shot of Wil Macdonald Slammin it in some dudes face...AWESOME!!!
