Just curious as to why some think he will be able to play in '07?

Does he have any ill family members? I have not read anything of the sort.

i remember hearing that he was transferring to USF to be closer to home for family reasons, and Saban mentioned something along those lines in an interview.

I don't think I;ve read anything official but the reason I saw on another board was that his mother had a heart condition...

If thats true the NCAA might give him the waiver.  Just a thought though...wouldn't it be better for him to not get the waiver and sit out the year and redshirt next season....or did he already play at Bama? 

Regardless, if we do get him this season, he'd be a hell of a fullback and a key guy on short yardage/goalline gains because he seems so hard to take down.

I dont see him playing FB at USF he is only 5'10'' and 200 lbs. I remember someone saying that he could play CB or RB here

CB?  Really?  I don't know...he might not be tall enough.  I'm not that versed in football knowledge but I think that CB's should be taller.  I don't see a problem with him being a FB or RB...whichever.

I think he is too small to be a fullback, but he is a good sized runningback

I don't he will be a cornerback, but at 5'10 and 200 lbs thats great size for a corner. I just don't think he is fast enough for corner, maybe a safety though.

With all that said, I hope they keep him at running back, it just adds more depth to the position because at this point no one there is proven except Ben Williams and he is only proven to give you 3.6 ypc. Not very good at all.
