I'm going to hope it was a huge mistake, and he meant to say Plancher. RIP Dorsey

Yeah I'm sure thats what he meant. Just got kind of confused seeing Dorsey there.

I'm just having a hard time seeing Ford contributing right away. I wish this game was next year

....we really need to be focused on Elon.  ...

I have no doubt Leavitt will have the guys fired up. Look at our current depth chart. He'll be threatening guys for starting spots and we have plenty of depth on the 2 deep to figure out who will be the starter and on the 2 deep to even travel to Auburn.

What we hear from Leavitt is nothing like what the players will hear.

And don't 4get Leavitt used a UCF helmet last year in Summer practice.

P.S. I'm still pissed about the way we opened against McNeese St. And sure Leavitt will remind them of their early showing in the 2006 season. He will challenge them since they played so poorly against our first 4 opponents. We can't start out the 2007 season slow.

No.  If we start slow, we die.

Dont fool yourselves. Auburn defense that we will face will be tougher than any defense we played last year and that we will play this year.

Our running game will have trouble with them no matter which RB we use. The key for me in that game are:

A) Grothe and the offense are steady and dont make huge mistakes like an INT for a TD, or a fumble return for a TD. Those have been common in games we struggle. vs Auburn that could be a death blow because it will be a low scoring game. Offense needs to at least move the ball so not to give them points or easy field position.

B) the defense must shut down their running game and cause turnovers.

That game will be a tough one.

IMO, one of the things that we're gonna have to do is get ahead early. I think they'll be a lot more likely to succeed as the game goes on if they score first and do what they can to try and take the crowd out of the game early on

The RB position being up for grabs is a blessing in diguise, IMO. Auburn will have a very hard time game planning for up to 5 potential starters at RB (Ford, Samuels, Williams, Dorsey, and possibly Taylor). I hope we get out on Elon early and we can keep the playbook "Spring Game Vanilla." If that can happen, Auburn won't have a clue whats comming with a new OC and the plethora of options we have at the WR and RB positions. Also, Auburn will have to show what they got in their opener with KSU. We will get to see what that OL looks like, and hopefully have enough tape to pick it apart.

I am so psyched for this game.....this could be the catalyst for a magical season!

nothing like competition

usc has 10 all #1 rbs competing

Didn't do them any good last year. Maybe they only had nine.

Thats the first realistic comment I've heard from anyone on here in a long time.  Good post Cuban...

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
